MARITIME HEAVEN
Massachusetts, EE.UU.
This project was my third home design in the United States, in the state of Massachusetts. It is a home for a large family of 7 people. The house was wanted from the beginning to be elevated, because it is a flood zone. That is why the first level is used as a parking area and main entrance. The house as such is supported by metal columns that give it the illusion that the house is floating.
The formal style of the house looks for something classic and contemporary. Wooden house with a gabled roof. Generally, the ceilings of this type of house are also made of wood, but it seems more convenient to make them metallic to give it a more industrial character. Likewise, on the rear façade, leave the interior of the elevator exposed to highlight this characteristic a little more.
The combination of materials such as wood, metal and glass give that unique and interesting touch to this single-family home
